The units are updated and brand-new with a window facing somewhere other than a ventilation shaft. The king-size bed and filtered water are nice touches. The hotel has a marvelous location, about a 4-6 minute walk from Andador Turistico.

The location of this place was amazing as Zocalo Plaza was within a short walking distance, making it perfect for exploring.

The location was excellent, being near Downtown; the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, and I had a delightful stay for 4 nights, considering a return visit.

The room was clean with exceptionally comfortable beds and satellite television. Great views - we could see the courtyard. The location was great, for example, Zocalo Square was not too far from the hotel. The hotel room was tidy and had really comfy beds along with satellite TV. Plus, we had a nice view of the courtyard. Also, the location was convenient, with Zocalo Square being a short distance away.

The suite was spacious for a family of four. Clean pool, perfect for kids. Delicious restaurant with helpful staff. Convenient location, close to stores, restaurants, and universities. Water cooler for refilling bottles was a nice touch.

The bed was comfortable. The overall cleanliness was good. The attention of the staff was good and friendly. I really liked the style of the hotel.
First of all, I want to make it clear that the room was a junior suite. I didn't like the furniture in the bathroom, it was too much. The TV was too small, I couldn't see it properly from my bed. The valet parking service was good in general, although there was a person from the valet parking who, when I was going to cross the street to get to the hotel, parked a vehicle in front of me and obviously I could not pass, I was very upset that this person had already seen me and still did not allow me to pass. That clearly speaks ill of him because even though he didn't know I was staying, he should respect the pedestrian first and therefore that space on the street that the hotel reserves for the cars in the parking lot is wrong. They should get a parking space to prevent their valet parking staff from obstructing the road for both pedestrians and cars on that street . The price-performance ratio didn't seem to me, it was a little expensive.

A beautiful colonial building houses this small, delightful; hotel. We stayed in the Presidential suite and found it very comfortable and quiet. It is walking distance to all the interesting sites in Oaxaca and the hotel can arrange trips to Monte Alban and Mitla. We were lucky enough to see the Easter processions. The breakfasts are delicious and the swimming pool very welcome.
Just slightly inconvenient that the room was cleaned in the late afternoon when we were having siestas!

This charming hotel in Oaxaca's historic center is ideally located, just a short walk from the main square. The beautiful building is filled with unique, old wood furniture, adding to its character. Guests rave about the friendly and helpful staff, who go above and beyond to assist with any requests. The restaurant offers a decent breakfast and there is even a swimming pool, a rare find in the area.
Some guests experienced noise issues from the street or courtyard at night.

Enjoyed our 2 week stay at the charming CasAntica very much. It is very conveniently located in the historical center, a couple of blocks from both the Zocolo and the Alcala walking district leading to the beautiful Santo Domingo church. Met my friend in Oaxaca and we shared a nice "jr suite" (meaning it was a larger room with 2 double beds) on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard restaurant. The room was very clean, the beds new and comfortable, the air conditioning appreciated. We were sheltered from the street noise and typical Oaxaca political protests going by, but could hear festive socializing when larger groups gathered in the evening in the courtyard. They typically went to their rooms at a reasonable time and it wasn't a problem. The desk staff, housekeepers and bellmen were all very nice and helpful when needed. The onsite restaurant/bar was good and convenient when we didn't feel like venturing out. The restaurant staff provided very good service. The pool looked great and was well used, but we never got around to it. We had a rental car for visiting the many interesting markets and ruins in outlying villages. The hotel has an arrangement with a garage for a nightly fee. When you want the car you merely tell the desk and the car is delivered to the hotel, and when you return, you leave your car in their saved spot, and the it is returned to the garage for you. Very convenient.
No complaints!

The hotel is an old convent and has a lot of charm. The hotel complex is remarkable and the overnight stay is worthwhile.
The service in the restaurant is a little inattentive, long waiting time, although the staff is far from being overloaded. One evening I ate at the hotel and ordered a filet mignon (medium), two pieces of meat, each 1-2 mm thick, came Fried shoe sole. Unfortunately, the staff have no understanding of gastronomy.

The building is really cool, with different places to chill like the pool, roof terrace, and tables and chairs scattered around. Plus, you can get beers and coffee from the restaurant bar, which is great. The staff was helpful and friendly, but they also gave you your space. The location is perfect, allowing easy access to various areas.
Some rooms don't have windows, which can make them feel claustrophobic. Additionally, the pillows were a bit lumpy, and the beds weren't very comfortable.

The location is the best thing about the hotel. The facilities are simple but in good condition, colonial style. The pool for families with children is very good in size and depth, although they could improve their cleaning routine, there is no bed space. The triple and double rooms have everything you need, iron, dryer, amenities, water, safe, etc. but are a bit small for moving between beds and desks, the beds are fine, the pillows are hard. The reception staff are friendly but only speak Spanish. There is no parking but on matamoros street you can leave your car in the Lido parking lot, $50 a night and during the day you can park in a nearby street to avoid paying. We prefer not to eat there, there are many options nearby and much better. I recommend it if you are looking for good value for money

The hotel itself was perfect.
The surrounding area was extremely loud throughout the night.

During my stay at Hotel Casantica, I had a fantastic time exploring the city. The location was perfect, allowing me to easily walk to all the attractions. The hotel's charming architecture and various chill-out areas, like the pool and roof terrace, added to its unique character. The friendly staff were always ready to help when needed. Furthermore, the availability of a water cooler to refill my bottles was a thoughtful touch. Despite a few minor issues with the pillows and bathroom, I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to others.
